District 9

We liked the movie. Thought that the plot line was in some ways unpredictable. For those with over 20 years of movie watching under their belts, any surprise is welcome.

Camping Sauvage

Strange, strange movie. Not nearly as porny as we expected.

Very Good

Da Mince Meat

Saw the DaVinci Code last night as a staff outing.

It was pretty good. All the old churches kick some major movie ass. Tom Hanks sounded like he had a cold during filming. We didn't expect much from this movie so that may have contributed to our liking.

Remember the key to happy movie going life: Low Expectations.

Charlie Sheen had the role of his life in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. It must be difficult to peak so young.

we don't really want to see United 93. It's more approriate for people born in after 2000 to watch it since they'll have no real memory of the event. They'll be like "wow. That was such a great movie. can you imagine, mom, what it was like to be there?" Then you'll say, "no, I really can't. I was in Utah, helping Mr. Jeffs run his polygamist sect. I heard about it on the radio though."

Movies we kinda dug:

Inside Man. Just a well done movie. It's like eating a well prepared meal that you've had before. Not a surprise but it hits the spot.

Lucky Number Slevin. Good chemistry between Lucy Liu and Mr. Hartnett. Bruce Willis is good as are Kingsley and Freeman. The movie isn't great but it was fun.

Otherwise, no plans to see Mr. Cruise anytime soon.

Glen, you shithead

We once new a man named Glen. He turned out to be shithead and he no longer works for us.

Some of us recently got together and on Bjorn's recommendation watched "GlenGaryGlenRoss" or however you spell the damn title.

Alec Baldwin is the man! Wow. What a part and just great acting. The rest of the movie is pretty good. Pacino is great as usual as is Jack Lemmon, Ed Harris and J. Pryce.

However is was not the classic movie that Bjorn had told us it would be. Good stuff though. Yes, we know it was play. Mamet!

Land of the Dead: Good

Batman Begins: People seem to like this one.

War of The Worlds: Renting It!

We've got nothing.
